Regulate the cruise industry as the airlines are regulated. $27,500 fines per person for loss of power at sea.

Created by T.L. on February 15, 2013

Impose fines such as those on the airline industry. $27,500 per passenger. This rule has worked for the airlines & there has been a dramatic decrease of planes sitting on the tarmacs. Change can be good! If a company puts greed & profits above common sense & safety then it is time to remind the company that the Will of the People is omnipotent. It is the citizens that enact laws & allow companies to operate as they do. Carnival Cruise Lines has broken the People's trust not just this time, but many others as well (think of the California incident). Now is the time for tough love. It is not to punish the cruise industry, but to help them become better. Such as you discipline a child to make them into a better adult, we must regulate the cruise industry to help them mature
