Guns are deadly devices that are more unregulated than anything else as or less deadly that we have in our society such as cars / driving and prescription meds.
Guns should be 1. registered like cars are, 2. every gun's serial (& striations) should be recorded, 3. owners should go through background checks and periodic cognitive/mental tests, 4. be licensed after gun safety ed, 5. limit the capacity of the weapon to what people find is necessary for hunting & self-protection just like meds.
Putting in place reasonable limits to our consitutional rights is not an infringement as we cannot scream fire in a public place (1st Amendment) whereas not having limits to arm ownership costs our Constitutional right to live. The 2nd Amendment doens't protect our right to own ANY arms like grenades.
