With the losses of life around the country due to gun violence a need has developed to re-examine how firearms are regulated.
If all firearms were regulated the same way as vehicles, ie. requires a licence which in order to obtain requires you to pass a written test that has and extensive psychological evaluation as well as pass a usage test which includes cleaning and proper handling. Gun owners should be required to register their weapons annually and have them properly inspected and insured.
With those regulations in place, incidents of gun violence should decrease.
