32,310 people in the United States were killed in 2011 in automobile accidents. Four times as many as murdered with firearms. Yet, there is no call to regulate personally owned street licensed vehicles equipped with a drive train so powerful as to allow the vehicle to operate in excess of 70 miles per hour, with many capable of 100 to 150+ mph. We must ask ourselves: Which is the priority? Should our Constitutional Rights be infringed upon or could more lives be saved by the regulation of our driving PRIVLIDGES? An added advantage would be reduced fuel consumption, a substantial reduction in Whitehouse gas to decrease this 30 degree December temerature. Automobiles kill people.
