In the wake of the school shooting in Connecticut, we once again see the trend of news media organizations over saturating coverage with body counts, dramatic details, victim interviews, and intimate details of the killer. This perpetuates a saddening trend of mentally disturbed people carrying out similar tragedies, with the expectation of leaving this world in a globally announced 'blaze of glory'. The small towns these events occur in become a circus, and nobody is benefiting from the over dramatizing of a already difficult situation. Media needs to keep it's distance, and allow emergency services to help, and the citizens to grieve.
