Regulate non tuitional costs of higher education by focusing on companies who's income predominantly comes from students

Created by W.B. on September 10, 2014

I'm writing this petition to ask the Obama administration to regulate, and hold accountable, Companies and Businesses that have a large percentage of income coming from students. These companies could include national fraternities and sororities, honor societies, and other extracurricular organizations. These companies should be required to publish finical statements, audit reports, and other relevant financial info that include costs incurred by the company. Many of these companies are non-profit but should be held accountable for fiscal irresponsibility that could increase the overall costs incurred by students. These organizations should also be required to inform their (young) members of all possible costs, and risks like the possibility of being referred to a collections agency.
