Civil forfeiture undermines the fundamental principles of our justice system in that a civilians possessions can be taken without being charged with a crime. This not only directly violates the fourth amendment concerning unreasonable seizures of legal property but motivates police to bully citizens for profits. It doesn't seem realistic that this country would enforce such a law but it is getting more common and is making our system more corrupt than it already is. I only have 800 characters to make this count, so I implore you, the fellow responsible Americans to watch and read about this troubling issue and do what you believe is right.
