A bank or mortgage company should not be allowed to collect more money in interest than principle in a home loan per month.
The majority of the monthly payment should go towards the principle of the home loan instead of interest.
Paying of interest before being allowed to pay towards the principle causes people to be underwater in home ownership.
There needs to be a percentage cap in place of what a lender can collect per month in interest.
For example: Out of a $1,000 payment, only 20% of that can be used towards the interest. And 80% of the payment can go towards the principle of the loan.
Stop home loan price gouging.
