It's been many years since the temp agency has grasped the throat of the lower and middle class workers. I do believe that temporary agencies can be a benefit to todays society in finding talent, and employing them in positions best suited to them. The temp agency started to provide short term workers, and/or act as a probation period for temp to hire positions, and this is the way it should be, however temp agencies have continued to leech off of the American worker for too long. What we see in this day and age are full time temp positions, wages being cut due to the agency skimming off the top of the employees wages, little to no benefits, and lessening job security. Employers getting away with keeping the minimum amount of full time employees and using temp agencies to fill the others.
