Alcohol, tobacco products, adult magazines in print, films, and video games are all regulated in the U.S.A.'s free market. This is done to limit underage access to these products and services. In fact, laws exist to protect minors from accessing and consuming these products and services.
This petition is requesting the US government to develop and enact regulations on the Internet within the USA that will require all online pornographic material to reside on a unique domain extension (.xxx for example) and require all potential viewers to confirm adult age. Laws and penalties to enforce and regulate this protection system in the USA must also be developed.
The Internet must remain completely uncensored (within legal bounds) but also protect underage and unintended users.
