Crowd sourcing services such as Kickstarter do not claim any responsibility for the product or services presented on their website, yet they provide space for people to setup their business. If the project is funded, Kickstarter takes their cut of the money raised then leave the investor and the project creator alone to handle the completion. If the creator walks away Kickstarter keeps their profits, the investor is then left to contact various law enforcement, state and federal services for fraud. Kickstarter does not help the investor with refunds. It is our opinion that there needs to be regulation of this currently unchecked industry. Crowd sourcing services must be held responsible for who they allow to setup projects and give up their profits if the project fails.
