Our nation is plagued with "news" media outlets that are influenced by corporate executives. We are constantly divided, manipulated and driven into fear due to the nature of these corporations spending money on biased, unfair, sometimes borderline untrue information.
My proof is that research shows that our "great economic crash" that occurred over these last 4 years did so as a self fulfilling prophecy in response to the news. Had businesses not "anticipated the crash" by laying off so many, the crash likely would not have occurred.
I'm not suggesting limiting freedom of speech, but perhaps finding ways to limit corporate influence and instead push towards fair, honest and factual news as opposed to the hateful and disrespectful propaganda plaguing our televisions.
