This petition is being proposed to restrict any state government or federal entity from utilizing taxes collected from citizens to purchase semi-automatic rifles or true assault weapons that are capable of 3 round burst or fully automatic fire; If a state government or federal entity restricts, or advocates for the restriction of owning semi-automatic rifles by law abiding citizens they should not be allowed to utilize any money collected from citizens through taxation to purchase weapons of equal or greater capabilities. This would apply to funds for the purchase of rifles for federal agencies in restrictive jurisdictions, and any state agencies to include police, sheriff, or other tax payer funded organizations that seek to use these weapons.
