Starting in April, government employees will be asked to take a 22-day furlough as a part of the sequester put in place by our Congress due to their inability to pass a budget. Millions of civilian employees, some of whom serve our veterans at Veteran's Affairs, or support our finest inventors in the Patent Office, will lose the ability to pay their car payments, their house payments, their mortgages, etc. This is not acceptable in an America where we want to promote upward mobility through hard work, which these employees are doing.
Our government has failed us by putting something so draconian in place that they'd have to get a deal done, and they failed. Don't fail us again. If the furlough comes into play, please step up to the plate and repay for time lost by your employees.
