The Glass-Steagall Act was put into place after the Great Depression to avoid another market collapse. In the mid-to late 1990's it was repealed. Then we had the housing bubble and now the Great Recession. Now banks that are too big to fail are continuing the same behavior that led to both events. Are we going to regulate them? Or face another disastrous event? President Obama, please fight the big banks lobbying and reinact Glass-Steagall!!!
