reinstate apprenticeship into the public education system to fight unemployment.

Created by P.L. on October 10, 2011

The old and proofed system of apprenticeship provides a great way for young people who do not want to study in a university, but to learn a job which can make them happy and in which they can be good in.
The scholarization of jobs, where practical experience is more important than theoretical knowledge, has ruined the reputation of craftsmanship in the US (ever needed to call a 2nd plumber?). And it forces some people into an academic path that is not suited for their skills.
Recently England has rediscovered the apprenticeship system again, following the proven concept still in use in countries like Switzerland and Germany, where it enjoys a high social status and forms the basis of over 70% of all jobs.
