Look, the national debt is over $16 trillion, we're occupying most of the world, the 10th amendment has more or less been completely obliterated, corruption and gerrymandering have run rampant throughout the government, and I could go on. As brilliant as the founders were, perhaps it may be the case that they jumped the gun a bit when they replaced the Articles of Confederation with the current Constitution. It would be in everybody's best interest if at this point we just cut our losses, admit this isn't working out, and reinstate the more freedom friendly Articles of Confederation to perhaps tweak ever so slightly as ensure their stability as the rule of law.
