Reinstate the Assault Weapons Ban

In 1994, President Clinton signed the Assault Weapons Ban into effect. In 2004, it expired and President Bush did not choose to reinstate it. As a response to the violent crimes, and horrific tragedies of Sandy Hook Elementary School, a mall in Oregon, Virginia Tech, Columbine High School, and Aurora Colorado, President Obama should reinstate the Assault Weapons Ban to protect our citizens and innocent people from horrific attacks such as the above-mentioned examples.
