To Reinstate the Beyond the Reasonable Doubt Standard in Title IX Sexual Harassment, or Violent, Cases.

Created by J.L. on February 06, 2016

Per the announcement by the Dept. of Education in 2011, as it relates to sexual harassment or sexual violence cases. The use of a preponderance of the evidence standard required to conduct investigations, and discipline over the traditional beyond reasonable doubt standard for sexual assault, or rape, crimes have ruined academic careers for thousands of mostly male students in colleges/universities. This standard is the absolute lowest legal standard in that it essentially assumes the accused is guilty (50% likely than not that a crime has occurred). Is it really necessary to lower the burden of proof that a "hostile sexual environment" is being felt when such crime can be reported on a State-level for a traditional, harsher punishment? Aren't college students legally adults?
