Reinstate break pay for grandfathered Post 9-11 GI Bill students who are registered for multiple terms.

Created by R.G. on November 14, 2012

Veterans who started pursuing an education before changes were made to Post 9-11 GI Bill were grandfathered to maintain tuition cap but break pay was cut. Understand that the contract made prior to boot camp included break pay and when veterans planned their educational goals break pay was included in those plans. This is forcing veteran students to take out student loans to pay for housing or get a job. Most veteran students are highly successful in their academic careers and finish their degree program early when not forced to get a job. More money would probably be saved by allowing veterans to finish early as opposed to restricting break pay over a longer period of time. Please reinstitute break pay... or allow veterans to secede from the Union... just kidding, but not about break pay.
