It is my belief that the American people have become too willing to accept military aggression from their government. This seems to be largely due to the fact that most of the citizenry does not have a dog in the fight, so to speak.
An addendum to the War Powers Resolution should be created that requires a general conscription for ALL overseas military activities. This will engage the populace in a visceral way and stop the rampant abuse of the military as a diplomatic tool instead of a last resort.
