The Iraq and Afghanistan wars saw a volunteer force do multiple tours. As Americans we've witnessed the terrible toll these wars have taken on the small percentage who choose to serve. Many beat the war drums but only a small minority of Americans choose to serve. Reinstating the Draft would bring levity and great seriousness to the discussion of possible war because all will share in the final outcome. Abled bodied men and women who will never bear the mental and physical cost of war should never lead the march to war.
It's time Congres take up the debate to Reinstate the Draft.
