Reinstate "E Pluribus Unum" (Of the Many, One) as the national credo on all currency.

Created by C.G. on February 24, 2012

The current motto In God We Trust was approved and first placed on U.S. currency in 1864 as our citizens were killing one another in civil war.

Congress can legislate our return to the more inclusive E Pluribus Unum "Of the Many, One" credo which so beautifully expresses the original mission of our nation. We need the renewed dedication to actively building the strength of our country as a whole. It will be a ready reminder that we are a group despite our differences.

Declarations of religious fealty say nothing about our nation in its own right, and as we see now can be used to divide us. The US needs to return to our original mission.
