The Fairness Doctrine basically said that every holder of broadcast licenses had to present matters of public importance in a manner that was honest, and balanced. The Fairness Doctrine would have prevented the levels of unchallenged lying and distortion used today to create alternative realities. Local T.V. and radio stations should represent the whole community not a Political Party. Whether you realize it or not these propaganda spreaders and truth distorters influence voters. These are public access stations not cable or pay per view. Public stations should not represent one political party. One local T.V. personality encourages people to not watch real news and does not educate viewers who believe lies like the president is Muslim. This is not fair or balanced.It's propaganda.
