Write into law the Fairness Doctrine that was vetoed by Ronald Reagan in 1987 which was passed by the House and Senate with a ratio of votes of 3:1 and 2:1 respectively in an overwhelmingly bipartisan effort nearly overriding the veto.
When the Fairness Doctrine was abolished it gave the power of broadcasting false or misleading information as fact to any entity with the intent and capability of manipulating a news organization to support the entity's social, political, or economical ideology or interest.
The Fairness Doctrine should never be used to silence opinion or violate freedom of the press but to curtail the malicious use of misleading and "dis-informative" information.
When the people have to get their news from the internet something must be terribly wrong with the television.
