Reinstating the fairness doctrine will ensure that all media outlets really are fair and balanced. No longer will they be able to tell lies and distort the truth to make one political party look better than the other. It will make sure that US citizens know all the facts about our elected officials and make sure that they're all held accountable for their actions in the case that their actions are not in the best interest of the US as a whole. It will take the media back to a time when broadcasters had to report opposite sides of an issue and allow the American people to decide from there which side of the issue they're on. Reinstating the fairness doctrine would truly make all news outlets fair and balanced.
