Since the Federal Assault Weapons ban expired in 2004 we have seen too many acts of gun violence across America. From college campuses in Virginia to movie theaters in Colorado, innocent Americans have lost their lives to people who had weapons that belong on a battlefield, not in a peaceful society.
I urge you and your administration to help put an end to the violence which plagues our nation. Reinstate the Federal Assault Weapons ban and help keep these weapons off of our streets.
