The former Strategic Air Command, responsible for the US Air Force's bombers and intercontinental missiles, through a unique and well-defined vision not only deterred this nation's enemies for 45 years but enforced nuclear weapon safety and surety standards to a level unknown in any other nation. The current Global Strike Command, as seen by an alarming series of mishaps, accidents, and failures, has been unable to maintain that level, causing doubt and concern in the citizens it is supposed to protect and encouraging our adversaries. I therefore respectfully request that the President in his capacity as Commander In Chief, direct that Global Strike be stood down and SAC be reestablished, with the same vision, culture, and regulations that served this nation so well for so long.
