General David Petraeus has one of the most distinguished and respected military careers in the history of the United States of America. He has been lauded by his peers and politicians of both parties for having been instrumental in our nation's military successes abroad and here at home.
His distinguished service should not be overshadowed by a regrettable personal decision to engage in an extra-marital affair. What he brings as a leader will be impossible to replace. We hereby request that his resignation be withdrawn and his impeccable service to our country reinstated.
