Reinstate German into US schools, like Spanish and French.
In the United States of America, more than 50 million citizens claim themselves of German heritage. Unfortunately, when WWI occurred, this brought with it a long persecution of German Americans and the German Language itself. Prior to this, however, the German language was the second most spoken language, like Spanish is today. And further more, most schools today teach the languages of French and Spanish, but do not offer German, a language more internationally spoken than French, more linguistically closer to English (As both are Germanic languages), and has more descendants today than French (11.8 million). This petition exists for one sole reason, to attempt to reinstate the influential German language back into schools.
