effective august 1 2011 the VA chose to cut the living stipend paid to veterans under the GI bill during breaks in the semester. this combined with the lack of Gibill coverage for dormitory housing costs veterans trying to use their GI bill benefits thousands of dollars every year.
the Obama administration owes it to all veterans to retroactively reinstate the full payment for benefits earned. we cannot afford to wait idly while those who have risked their lives to ensure american freedoms get robbed by the same government that sent them to war.
