In 1999, President Clinton repealed the Glass-Steagle Act at the insistence of Sandi Weil, CEO of Citi Group, allowing banks to offer investments to their customers and to invest the banks own money in more risky types of investments. Customer banks must separate entities from investment banks. Reinstate the full authority of the Glass-Steagle Act
