The following retail concerns should be closed for 10 days each year:
Supermarkets
Department stores
Big box retail stores
Shopping Malls
The 10 holidays are as follows:
Easter Sunday
Memorial Day(last Monday in May)
Independence Day(July 4th.)
Labor Day(First Monday in September)
Patriot Day(September 11th.)
Columbus Day(2nd. Monday in October)
Veterans Day(November 11th.)
Thanksgiving Day(4th. Thursday in November)
Christmas Day(December 25th.)
New Year's Day(January 1st.)
And these retail concerns shall pay overtime and a half to all their employees and not force their employees to work the listed days.
The following concerns are exempt:
Convenience stores
Pharmacies
Bars & Restaurants
Flea Markets
Movie Theaters & Amusement Parks
Businesses catering to ethnic populations
yard sales
