The Latin language was spoken in its classical form until the mid first century, and it continued to be spoken in the west among the educated and cultured until the late nineteenth century.
We therefore petition the United States government to acknowledge the history and importance of Latin and all classical civilization by reviving the use of Latin as a spoken language.
Latin will be recognized as a living language and will be taught in all schools beginning at the middle level. Use of Latin will be permitted in all official government documents and in all courts/congresses.
Viveat lingua latina æternitate.
