Reinstate the pay freeze for Federal employees. Private sector workers are not getting raises, we are getting pay cuts.

Private sector employees are not getting raises. Many are getting pay cuts and we are paying more taxes with less benefits. In the face of the current economic situation, rescinding the pay freeze on Government employees is ludicrous. This petition requests that the Federal pay freeze be reinstated for at least the next four years. Federal employees should receive a pay cut based on the job performance we are seeing. Nothing is being accomplished by Congress, jobs are not improving, the debt is increasing and the economy is slipping still. Time to cut pay by 10% and use the additional funds to pay down the National Debt. Tis is imperative if we are to begin a recovery in any sense of the word. The time is now for action that will benefit the country instead of harm it.
