to reinstate the pledge of allegiance as it was originally before it was changed by a later congress.

Created by J.B. on July 07, 2013

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion...." The opening phrase of the first amendment states clearly why the 1954 changing of the pledge was unconstitutional. So I ask that the original pledge of allegiance be reinstated the way The United States Congress officially recognized the Pledge for the first time, in the following form, on June 22, 1942: "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
