Reinstate Sgt. 1st Charles Martland & Restore His Status As a US Army Green Beret.

Created by S.F. on September 29, 2015

The US Army announced recently that it would be discharging Sgt. 1st Class Charles Martland, a US Army Green Beret, for shoving an Afghan police chief who admitted to raping an eleven-year old boy. Despite Sgt. Martland's defense proving conclusively that the police chief's actions were alienating the locals, the Army concluded that he compromised the safety of US soldiers and their relationship with the locals.

Mr. President, imagine if that was your son. Two American heroes stood up for him and you are now letting one be discharged for protecting someone's basic human rights? Sgt. Martland earned two Bronze Stars and the commendations of his peers and his superiors. Therefore, we request you to reinstate this dedicated American Special Forces Hero.
