reinstate Sgt. 1st Class Charles Martland, a decorated Green Beret, who served his country honorably.

Created by C.A. on October 17, 2015

In 2011, Sgt. Martland and his team leader bodyslammed an Afghan police chief after he admitted to raping a young boy and beating his mother. Fellow Green Berets say that Martland saved the boy's life. However, his commanders judged that he compromised the US mission there and relieved him of his duties. The review process eventually led to him being discharged from the Army.

Martland was a fine Special Forces soldier who had received the Bronze star for his actions in combat. He stood up for the values that every American should defend and, as a result, was discharged for it. Therefore, we respectfully demand that President Obama reinstate Martland and recognize his noble actions.
