reinstate the STOCK Act, that requires financial disclosures by members of Congress.

Created by T.M. on April 16, 2013

The STOCK Act was repealed by a majority vote of the Senate and House and was signed into law by President Obama in April 2013. This law was, notably, instituted by a '60 Minutes' investigation by Steve Kroft wherein insider trading by members of Congress was uncovered. The act required financial disclosure by members of Congress in order to rule out malfeasance. This petition seeks to reinstate the STOCK Act so that greater oversight and transparency of our government by the citizens of the United States may be enacted subject to the Obama Administration's general call for governmental transparency.
