Reinstate the tax exempt status of service members deployed to Incirlik AB, Turkey

Currently, American service members are deployed to Incirlik Air Base. The hardships that an extended deployment to anywhere imposes on the service member and his family are immeasurable. Incirlik AB does not currently qualify for the combat zone tax exclusion. It previously had until 2005 when we withdrew our troops from Turkey. Our troops have returned and are now engaged in direct combat support of the war on terrorism and more specifically ISIS. We believe that the tax exempt status of these troops defending the safety of free citizens around the world should be re-evaluated. As this can only be accomplished via Executive Order we ask that you sign this petition asking President Obama to reinstate Incirlik Air Base, Turkey as a tax exempt combat zone.
