Every since 1790 the United States Coast Guard has answered the call of duty. With personnel serving in multiple wars, playing an active role in fighting the war on terrorism after 9-11, assisting victims of Hurricane Katrina, and many other natural disasters. The list of missions are many. The men and woman who serve live by the motto "Semper Paratus"- Always Ready. Do you think something else could be sacrificed other than their educational entitlements/benefits? Their daily unselfish comment to serving the American people carries equal weight as other branches of service, don't you think? If so, why has tuition assistance funding been suspended for active duty Coast Guard members only? United States Coast Guard....Continuing to do more with less! There has to be another way.
