Reinstate UNESCO membership dues.

Created by K.M. on November 02, 2013

If the United States does not pay it's UNESCO membership we will likely be downgraded to observer statues. This action may take place during the UNESCO general conference in November.

The United States currently has 3 world heritage nominations that are nearing completion.

- Poverty Point
- Frank Lloyd Wright Buildings
- San Antonio Missions

These properties may be adversely affected by the failure to pay membership dues to UNESCO.

Besides the world heritage program, UNESCO is involved in humanitarian, science, and literacy programs all over the world. Our participation in UNESCO is one of our signature programs to combat poverty, promote education, protect women's rights, and preserve our natural and cultural treasures.
