Reinstate the Warrant Officer grades in the United States Air Force.

Created by K.J. on February 15, 2014

The Air Force is the only branch of the Armed Forces that does not utilize the Warrant Officer pay grades. This is unfair to the members of the Air Force, who work just as hard as members of the other branches. The other branches allow members with degrees or vast experience in a career field to request training as a Warrant Officer. In the Air Force the only option is to get a 4 year degree and apply for OTS, which has a long waiting period and very competitive. So the Air Force is losing out on very skilled personnel to perform duties such as navigator, UAV pilot, etc.Reinstating the Warrant Officer ranks will afford personnel equal promotional opportunities available in other branches. We ask that you work with the Secretary of the Air Force and bring back the warrant officer grade.
