From Wikipedia:
"The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) was a public work relief program that operated from 1933 to 1942 in the United States for unemployed, unmarried men from relief families, ages 17–23. A part of the New Deal of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, it provided unskilled manual labor jobs"
The CCC could be reinstated to provide a vehicle to repair the nations crumbling infrastructure -- National Parks, National Monuments, Bridges, and Roadways and provide real economic stimulus by putting back to work the unemployed and underemployed. The CCC was one of the most successful programs to come out of the great depression and was only disbanded because of economic prosperity of the 1950s.
