Reissue the $500, and $1,000 Federal Reserve Notes and issue a $200 Federal Reserve Note.

Created by T.C. on January 27, 2013

A petetion to reissue the $500 and $1,000 Federal Reserve notes and issue a $200 Federal Reserve note, to modernize the U.S. currency system, and keep up with inflation. A $1,000 bill today, would be what a $100 bill would be, back on July 14, 1969, when the Treasury and Federal Reserve announced that the $500, $1,000, $5,000 and $10,000 bills would be discontinued immediately, due to lack of use. However, with the costs of living going up, today, a $1,000 bill would be more practical, and adding a $200 and $500 as well would cut down on the growing printing costs of $100 bills, which are steadily growing in demand, and are also getting more and more expensive to print with each redesign. It will also make people who want to carry large amounts of cash for large purchases more comfortable.
