The US continues to lead the World Economy. American Citizens enjoy the highest standards of living in the World. The efforts of the Federal Government secure these gifts. Absurd petitions to allow the state of Texas or any other state to withdraw from the Union are a travesty and an insult. Withdrawal from the Union by any State would injure the standard of living of all Citizens and violate their rights and liberties in accordance with the original ideas and beliefs of our Founding Fathers. Any such withdrawal is a act of Treason and should be treated as such.
