Given the high honor that it is to petition one's government, every U.S. citizen who does so should take great care in the crafting of his or her petition. When citizens and non-citizens alike read through the petitions on the White House page, they must not be subjected to sentence constructions that make no sense. Neither should they be forced to cringe at the sight of misspellings, incorrect punctuation, and sloppy grammar.
We the undersigned hereby request that the government should not consider any petition delivered on this site or through any other means if it is riddled with serious errors of the above mentioned sort. Take a stand for the dignity of our language, the honor of citizenry, and the nobility of the presidency and all government institutions.
