Politicians in Illinois intend to waste $100M of taxpayer funds on a private presidential library for President Obama at a time when the state is fiscally and ethically broke, we are in a digital era where a library has a different purpose, existing libraries can hold physical artifacts and modern presidential libraries have been fiscal drains with annual waste of federal taxdollars for private shrines.
Join taxpayers across Illinois and America to urge the White House and Congress to reject and ban any further use of federal, state or local taxdollars, land or resources for new presidential libraries regardless of person or party. Any president who deems it appropriate to build a shrine should raise funds privately and exclusively from donors going forward.
