Common sense dictates settling for development of further fossil fuels is a detriment from the necessity of developing clean, renewable energy. Regarding TransCanada Keystone Pipeline: This is a step in the wrong direction, creates only 35 permanent jobs, has no cap and trade restrictions and creates a pathway of eventual environmental destruction. Please, Barry, special interests are pushing for this, not the American people. I'm sure you've been briefed further than I have and know about the ecological disasters that are still confounding cleanup attempts in regards to highly toxic tar spillage. Let us as Americans lead the world with a strong statement against facilitating further fossil fuel development. Please use authority to stop Keystone Pipeline and any other tar sands projects.
