Reject any proposal that cuts Social Security benefits by implementing "Chained CPI"

Created by A.C. on January 13, 2013

Mr. President, as The New York Times recently reported, your administration, as part of the upcoming round of deficit reduction talks, is determined to enact massive cuts to Social Security by implementing what is known as Chained CPI.

Chained CPI is a benefit cut: Beneficiaries of Social Security would see a 9% benefit cut after 30 years if Chained CPI were implemented.

I am asking that your administration oppose Chained CPI and any other cuts to Social Security.
